Digestive enzymes are proteins that help the body break down food so nutrients can be absorbed. These enzymes are naturally found in saliva and are secreted by the pancreas, gallbladder, liver, and intestines throughout the digestive process. Digestive enzyme levels can be affected by digestive conditions and food sensitivities. Although enzymes are found in certain foods, they are sensitive to heat and can be destroyed by cooking.

Directions
