Take 1 teaspoon twice daily. For each gram of psyllium, take with 30 ml of liquid (water, milk, fruit juice, or similar aqueous beverage). Drink immediately and maintain adequate fluid intake. Effects observed 12–24 hours after the first dose; results may take 2–3 days. Take 2 hours before or after taking other medications. Avoid long-term use and consult a health-care practitioner for use beyond 6 weeks. Also take 1–2 capsules of enteric-coated Acidophilus Ultra each day. Start progressively or as directed by your health-care practitioner. Our Acidophilus Ultra capsule is protected by an enteric coating. The capsule must survive stomach acids and be delivered to the small intestine in order to work. The beneficial activity of acidophilus capsules without an enteric coating is destroyed in the stomach by stomach acids.
